The program consists of several canine units. The Sheriff’s Office Underwater Search and Recovery Team (Dive Team) is a public safety diving organization. The Napa County Sheriff’s Department Hazardous Devices Team, often referred to as EOD, responds to incidences concerning explosives and post blast investigations. The members maintain a regular training schedule including practice air search and rescue missions. The squadron members offer their time and aircraft to local law enforcement agencies free of charge.
